Responsibilities
Post job openings in key areas based upon staffing needs
Screen resumes for the top talent and maintain candidate databases
Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates
Prepare new hire paperwork and facilitate the onboarding process
Process offboarding paperwork and conduct exit interviews
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
Collaborate with department managers regarding staffing needs
Track and maintain the team’s PTO and Unpaid Time Off
Process HR-related invoices and expense reports
Generate quarterly HR reports as needed
Prepare and maintain company job descriptions
Prepare, maintain, distribute, and enforce Company Policies & Procedures
Assist with ensuring team members are meeting company training standards
Track team certifications and licenses
Tracking industry trends to determine effectiveness
Ensure compliance with federal and local labor laws and mandates
Assist in preparing for audits and maintaining necessary documentation
Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures
Assist in resolving basic employee relations issues
Perform performance reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Min 3 years of experience in HR - experience in the Civil Engineering Industry is a Plus
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Experience with full-cycle recruitment, F-1 and H-1B onboarding
Experience with legal compliance
Minimum 3 years of experience with processing payroll and benefits administration
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ADP systems, or similar HRIS platforms
Detail-oriented, proactive, ability to maintain confidentiality, and strong problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience in the Civil Engineering Industry is a Plus
SHRM-CP or (PHR) certification is a Plus
