Responsibilities
Drives daily productivity for installing, repairing and maintaining fiber optic network
Travels with the crew for daily assignments throughout our service footprint
Cultivates respectful and safety driven crew culture
Leads by example
Ensures crew follows and enforces all company policies and procedures while representing management
Follows the direction of the construction supervisor, construction manager and project manager
Performs general laborer tasks alongside the crew such as hand digging, setting up traffic control signs, sweeping, etc. with pulling and pushing movements
Maintains and operates equipment to effectively and safely complete work
Identifies, communicates and troubleshoots problems that arise on job sites
Accurately completes daily paperwork to document materials, equipment used, hours worked, and progress made on jobs
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent, must be 18 years or older
Drilling rig experience required
Valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record
Mechanical aptitudes
Savvy with computer & device technology, competency in Window-based environment
Lift up to 50+ lbs routinely
Follow prints, maps and construction plans
Maintain good driving record and company vehicle insurance eligibility
Ability to operate heavy equipment and safely tow equipment and trailers
Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures
Willingness to travel for extended periods of time to various work locations as required
Will be required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

Preferred
Minimum 2-years leading crew in utility construction preferred
CDL preferred
Previous experience in telecom construction or related field preferred
