Responsibilities

Leads with integrity by promoting and empowering employees to speak-up, listening to them when they do, and guarding against retaliation
Leads, executes and integrates business partner engagements and Ethics and Compliance strategic initiatives
Influences senior leadership to increase awareness and ensures mitigation of ethical and compliance risks in alignment with business objectives
Leads and develops plans for improving operations and mitigating risks
Promotes compliance and ethics as a top priority to the site; fosters a culture where employees themselves own and embraces compliance and ethics; and provides coaching, as necessary
Identifies ways to enhance, develop, implement, and execute compliance and ethics programs and initiatives in ways that resonate best at the Everett or Auburn site
Communicates the importance of the Company’s Code of Conduct and how it relates to various aspects of the business
Maintains monitoring processes and other preventative controls to detect and prevent potential violations of the Company Code of Conduct, including violations of company policies and behavior inconsistent with company values
Ascertains and understands local business priorities and implements strategies to advance those priorities consistent with our value
Analyzes investigations metrics, business imperatives, external factors, and observations made through engagements to develop tailored guidance and business solutions based on this analysis
Identifies and escalates emerging risks to management and functional partners as appropriate
Identifies and manages risks, monitoring, enforcing and evaluating the effectiveness of compliance and ethics policies and promoting an inclusive speak-up culture
Maintains and fosters strong constructive relationships with local leaders and other stakeholders to facilitate an effective risk culture where safety, quality and integrity are top of mind of all employees
Partners closely with site attorneys to identify localized compliance risk, identifies behavioral indicators of emergent compliance risk, and develops strategies to proactively address risks before they manifest
Ensures timely, thorough, and quality intake of issues
Provides guidance and direction to management and other personnel on all matters pertaining to compliance and ethics
Research and responds to compliance related questions from all employees
Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed
Supporting secondary Boeing sites in addition to their primary site, which may include subsidiary support
The SCEO may also be required to support smaller Secondary Boeing sites in addition to their primary site support to Everett or Auburn, which may include subsidiary support
Where applicable, the SCEO will be responsible for overseeing a team of Ethics Ambassadors to help encourage a speak-up culture through integrated messaging about company values, engaging with employees at all levels across all programs and functions at the Everett or Auburn site

Required

5+ years of experience working in Ethics or Compliance
5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams
5+ years of experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues

Preferred

Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as compliance, risk management, communications, business administration, or a J.D
Experience working in a corporate ethics, compliance or government agency
Experience working in engineering or manufacturing settings, with involvement in product and services or quality evaluations
Experience working in a complex and matrixed business environment
Experience conducting risk and compliance assessments and developing business engagement plans
Project management skills related to setting goals, priorities and executing plans
Experience in developing and facilitating training to employees at all levels
