The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking Laboratory Sciences Professionals to support research in patient-derived organoid models and cancer cell biology. Responsibilities

Developing, growing, and screening organoid cultures, including mini-ring organoid workflows
Processing patient-derived and research specimens for cell culture
Performing 2D and 3D cell culture, including assay setup and maintenance
Assisting with assay development, including mini-ring platform drug screening
Performing immunohistochemistry and basic cancer cell biology techniques
Supporting flow cytometry sample prep and basic data handling
Maintaining the Soragni Lab database, internal sample records, inventory, and consumables
Communicate workflow updates and experimental progress clearly and reliably
Contribute to laboratory operations including basic safety oversight, ordering, and supply tracking

Required

Bachelor's degree in biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field
One (1) year wet laboratory and tumor organoids and clinical samples experience
Two (1) years wet laboratory and tumor organoids and clinical samples experience
A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis
An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire
Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including safety procedures and techniques
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
Ability to write clear and concise lab notes and protocols
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with faculty, staff, and trainees
Familiarity with HTS for organoids and mini-ring platform
Knowledge of sterile tissue culture

Preferred

Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field
Three (3) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory
