Responsibilities
Lead and develop the purchasing function
Request and analyze supplier quotes in support of sales and production
Issue purchase orders for new and existing parts
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with U.S. and international suppliers
Evaluate, manage, and develop supplier relationships
Manage supplier claims and corrective actions
Support new supplier selection and onboarding
Drive cost‑reduction and efficiency initiatives
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4 years of experience purchasing metric fasteners for the automotive industry
4+ years of purchasing experience in the Automotive industry, Fasteners experience a must
Proven supplier management and negotiation experience
Working knowledge of MRP systems
Familiarity with TS 16949 / IATF 16949 requirements
Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (basic to complex)
Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, DIN, ASME, SAE)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
Willingness to travel approximately 15%
