Desktop Support Specialist
Forbes Technical Consulting is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support across enterprise-level environments. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, as well as maintaining systems and participating in project-based tasks.
Responsibilities
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support across enterprise-level environments
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end users
Support multi-site operations with occasional on-site visits (up to 40% travel)
Maintain and administer systems including Active Directory, Microsoft/Windows, Google Suite, and ITSM tools like ServiceNow
Assist with identity and access management processes
Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation and knowledge bases
Participate in project-based tasks, including system implementations and upgrades
Ensure adherence to IT service management (ITSM) practices and service level agreements
Manage IT asset inventory in alignment with asset management protocols
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service delivery and end-user experience
Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions with business users as needed
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and PPE protocols in all operational activities
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on experience in IT end-user and systems support
Proficiency with tools such as Active Directory, Microsoft/Windows, Google Suite, and ServiceNow
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively under pressure
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred
CompTIA A+
Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCSA)
ITIL v3/v4
