Construction
Responsibilities
Installation of fiber splice enclosures
Outside plant fiber optic cable slicing, to include both loose tube fiber and ribbon fiber
Fusion Splicing
Unidirectional and bidirectional fiber testing
Light Level Testing, OLTS
Fiber troubleshooting and repair, test report generation
Coordinate daily crew activities and work schedule
Maintaining a safe and quality work site and location
Maintain Fiber equipment and tools
Daily inspection of all equipment assigned to crew
Maintain daily production rates
Ensure work is conducted in a safe manner and according to company safety and OSHA practices
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experienced preferred but will consider less based on Fiber Experience
Knowledge of industry testing equipment - OTDR, OLTS, Fluke, Etc
Category cable termination and testing a plus
BICSI, CORNING, FOA CFOT, OSHA Certification a Plus
Travel required
