Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic internal communications plans in collaboration with the VP of Communications to define internal communications strategy aligned with our culture, brand and internal engagement
Craft clear, compelling messaging that reflect Come Near’s voice and values
Cascade information to external partners as needs present themselves
Partner with the operations and people departments to effectively communicate internally. Provide cross-functional support to all teams as needed
Build and maintain strong relationships with key communications partners
Support executive communications, including drafting talking points, scripts, and developing presentation materials
Manage internal communication foundation, owning message development in coordination with functions and execution of communication strategies
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (Marketing, Impact, Investor Relations, etc.) to support campaigns and storytelling efforts
Help manage crises or sensitive communications with clarity, professionalism, and alignment with organizational values
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
7+ years of progressive experience in public relations, strategic communications, or journalism
Proven ability to develop and implement communication strategies that achieve measurable results
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write for a variety of audiences and platforms
Strong understanding of digital storytelling and faith-based communications
A heart for the mission of Come Near and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Background in storytelling around faith, culture, and community
Familiarity with engaged faith audiences
A personal relationship with Jesus and a passion for Come Near's mission
A heart for service, humility, and team-oriented leadership
A proactive, detail-oriented approach to planning and execution
This role is required to sign and comply with the organization's Statement of Faith
