Responsibilities

Reports to Registered Nurse (RN) pertinent observations and patient response to care provided. Documents according to unit standards

Prioritizes patient care and department needs, sets goals and organizes time to meet daily demands of nursing care

Takes vital signs

Participates in training and/or cross-training of duties

Documents according to unit standards and appropriately reports to pertinent observations and patient response to care provided

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualification

Basic Life Support (BLS)Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)Basic electrocardiography interpretationMedical secretary/receptionist experienceMonitor Technician experienceHigh School Education/GEDAssociate’s/Technical Degree

Required

High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required

Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA) certification: Required

Preferred

Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Medical secretary/receptionist experience: Preferred

Monitor Technician experience: Preferred

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification: Preferred

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred

Basic electrocardiography interpretation certification: Preferred
