Responsibilities
Master the Scope: Support multi-discipline estimates (Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP) for the new Concourse B, Arrivals/Departures Hall, and runway rehabilitations
Drive Strategy: Influence the “Progressive Design-Build” and “CMAR” processes by providing real-time cost feedback during the pre-construction phases
Analyze the Market: Navigate current market volatility by performing in-depth market analysis and escalation modeling specific to the Central Texas labor and materials market
Collaborate & Negotiate: Work directly with airline partners, city officials, and Tier-1 contractors to reconcile estimates and ensure “Value Engineering” actually adds value
Innovate: Utilize BIM/VDC (5D Estimation) to extract quantities from 3D models, ensuring precision in complex structural and MEP interfaces
Qualification
Required
At least 7-10 years in heavy construction estimating, with at least 2 years dedicated to large-scale aviation or large-infrastructure projects
Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Sage/Timberline, MC2, or Destini Estimator, along with Primavera P6 and Bluebeam
Possess a profound understanding of FAA requirements, TSA security integration costs, and the logistical advantages of working airside
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Exhibit a collaborative and solution-oriented approach that thrives in the fast-paced and high-stakes environment of municipal aviation
Preferred
Professional certification (CPE, CCP, or ASPE) is highly advantageous
