Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets
Agile Methodology Expertise: Drive Agile best practices across teams, ensuring efficient sprint planning, backlog grooming, and program increment (PI) planning
Mobile Application Expertise: Collaborate with iOS and Android development teams to manage app release cycles, feature roadmaps, and ongoing enhancements
Stakeholder Management: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, IT, UX/UI Design, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure program goals are met
Aviation Alignment: Integrate aviation-specific needs into mobile app features, leveraging knowledge of industry standards, operations, and customer behaviors
Customer Focus: Champion user-centric design and functionality by incorporating customer feedback and industry trends into program deliverables
Risk Management: Identify potential risks, dependencies, and obstacles, proactively creating mitigation plans to keep programs on track
Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize analytics and performance metrics to measure program success and drive continuous improvement
Communication: Provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership, ensuring transparency on program status, challenges, and achievements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in business administration, Computer Science, or a related field
15+ years of experience in program/project management
Proven success in web application development or managing large, complex programs
Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams, with strong focus on continuous improvement and developing self-organizing teams
Experience in a variety of computing platforms, such as mainframe, client/server, web, cloud, and social media
Extensive experience managing programs in Agile environments, including frameworks such as Scrum, or Kanban
Technical Acumen: Familiarity with mobile app development lifecycles, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Rally/ADO, or similar platforms
Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without authority, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with a track record of resolving complex program challenges
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences
Skills in analytics, estimating, and problem solving
Ability to think strategically and develop tactical methods to achieve objectives and goals
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, customers, and external groups, as well as working in a collaborative environment with geographically dispersed resources
Preferred
MBA or equivalent is a plus
Aviation industry experience or knowledge of airline operations is highly preferred
