Responsibilities
Technical Accountability: Oversee purchased parts from initial concept through the product life cycle, ensuring quality management
Supplier Collaboration: Understand and address complex technical issues with suppliers, proposing solutions
Quality Improvement: Collaborate with Sourcing Specialists and Buyers to enhance supplier performance
Process Oversight: Lead PPAP and contribute to design and process FMEA
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Engineering i.e. Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc.)
4- 7 years of experience as an Engineer, can be Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Supplier Quality Engineer
Experience in supplier quality resolution using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and nonconformances
Working experience of MRB: Material Review Board
Experience with ERP software and proficient with MS Office Suite
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in engineering practices, process planning, drawing interpretation, tooling concepts, NDT, functional testing, metallurgy, and product knowledge
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and statistical abilities
Project Management: Capable of managing supplier qualification and improvement projects
Quality Management: Knowledgeable in supplier selection processes and quality management systems
Preferred
Lean & Six Sigma: Familiar with Six Sigma tools and Lean Manufacturing principles
