Permit Administrator

Fence & Deck Depot, founded in 2001, installs fences and decks to both residential and commercial customers. They are seeking a detail-oriented and organized person to ensure permits are filed accurately and on time, helping to keep projects moving forward and communities connected.

Responsibilities

Prepare, document and submit required permitting forms to permitting entities
Track and organize fence permit application records
Communicate and coordinate with county, city, and state governing bodies to support project timelines, troubleshooting as needed to obtain permit approvals
Call customers to organize applications as needed
Work with office personnel to review contract drawings, site plans, project documents, and job scope to process job paperwork accurately as part of the production process
Process new job documents, including preparation of job folders, site photo reviews, and custom gate layouts, according to workflow demands
Process final documents, according to workflow demands
Assist Production Manager with project follow up tasks and workflow improvements as needed
Prepare custom estimates as needed
Facilitate the check-out process for Over the Counter Sales when needed
Validate the receiving of raw materials on a supplemental basis
Assist with special projects as needed
Assist as needed with various tasks such as inventory counts, arranging utilities markings, and arranging inspections

Required

Working knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word) and Adobe
Should enjoy working with others, possessing a team-oriented, collaborative mentality

Exhibits curiosity and has problem solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Self-motivated, self-sufficient individual that has demonstrated initiative
Demonstrated work ethic
Able to quickly learn new software systems
Able to manage & prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred

GIS mapping experience
Prior experience with permitting, inspections or similar field
Able to read blueprints
