Research Assistant III
Michigan State University is seeking a highly motivated and independent research assistant to support ongoing investigations into the role of Th2 cytokines in atopic dermatitis. The role involves contributing to research efforts aimed at identifying molecular mechanisms underlying atopic disease and potential therapeutic targets in companion animals and humans.

Qualification
Required
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through completion of one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a Master's of science in Biology, Animal Sciences, Pharmacology, Toxicology or related field
One to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in research methodologies, writing reports, supervision, software, data interpretation and handling
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
At least 5 years' experience working in a research lab setting
Experience with cell culture techniques and ability to work with cell lines, primary cells, and iPSCs across species
Experience with plate-based screening, phenotypic assays and immunoassays using a variety of technologies
Cellular and molecular biology and biochemistry techniques (e.g. western blot, RNA, DNA from cells and/or tissues, western blotting, PCR, etc.)
Imaging techniques
Data presentation and statistical analysis
