Responsibilities
Effectively oversee day-to-day operations within the assigned technician team
Proactively provide the team with a clear understanding of expectations, performance measures, goals, and feedback
Diagnose (using engine diagnostic equipment) and perform general, preventative maintenance, and DVIR for all heavy equipment
Use welders, torches, and plasma cutters to weld or fabricate broken parts
Manage invoices for all repairs completed by third-party vendors
Manage parts room(s) according to Centralized Parts Team guidelines and maintain accurate and legal records for respective ELD and fleet programs
Qualification
Required
5+ years experience in Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry or a similar industry
Obtain at least two ASE Certification within the first 6 months of employment (process sponsored by Carvana)
Must have your own tools to complete daily tasks; specialty tools will be provided by Carvana
A Valid Driver's License
Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner, both written and oral
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet
Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
