Responsibilities
Grind welds and other areas of the vehicle to prepare for painting
Sand vehicles to prepare for painting
Perform buffing on basic items and complete final and advanced buffing as needed
Complete taping and masking for bodywork and painting
Caulk exterior and interior areas of the vehicle to prepare for painting
Use body filler and prepare areas for painting
Apply primer coat of paint using paint equipment
Paint wheels and apply finished painting on swinging doors, bodies, and smart access components
Maintain and clean paint equipment
Operate stationary and overhead cranes as needed
Operate all equipment/tools necessary to perform the job
Perform other general labor duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in painting and industrial painting
Experience with paint preparation, auto body painting, and using a spray gun
Ability to operate in a paint booth environment
Skilled in buffing, polishing, and finishing
Experience with auto body wrapping
GED or High School Diploma
Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Proficient in using a tape measure for precise measurements
Vocational training in bodywork/vehicle repair or equivalent experience
Strong math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Detail-oriented
Ability to read and understand truck specification blueprints and documents
Effective communication skills
