Responsibilities
Evaluate credit union policies, procedures, products, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Act as a subject matter expert for the credit union on all compliance-related issues
Assess risk potential of procedures and recommend new ways to minimize loss
Implement corrective action procedures to ensure compliance
Coordinate compliance reviews and present summary reports to management
Revise internal forms, products, web site, programs, or promotions to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
Develop compliance training programs
Implement record retention policies
Develop a library of compliance resources
Present periodic reports for the Board of Directors describing the credit union’s current record of compliance
Review marketing materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
3+ years of compliance experience preferably in the financial services or credit union sector
At least one of the following certifications: Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS), Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), Accredited ACH Professional Certification (AAP), National Check Professional (NCP)
