North Carolina State University is looking for Temporary Summer Camp Staff for the Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center. The role involves supervising campers, facilitating activities, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for youth during the summer camp season.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily care and supervision of campers aged 8-12
Facilitate outdoor living and outdoor adventure programming tailored for campers aged 12-14
Instruct specialized programming and manage various activity areas around camp
Run all aquatic programming at camp
Manage the lifeguard team and ensure smooth flow of the aquatics activity schedule
Manage the day to day general health and wellbeing of campers and staff
Perform administrative, camper/staff management, and support tasks around camp

Required

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older by their work start date
Possess a positive attitude, professionalism, compassion, love for sharing knowledge with children, and the ability to follow directions and work independently
Must enjoy working with children of varying ages in an outdoor setting
Minimum Experience/Education: HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

Prior experience working with children
Prior experience in camp or informal education setting
