Responsibilities
This role supports EpicCare Link, which is Epic’s portal for external and community providers (non-Epic users) to access patient information, place orders, and collaborate with the health system
EpicCare Link allows access to Epic data without full Epic licenses for:
Referring providers
Community physicians
External clinics
This role focuses on building and optimizing ClinDoc and Orders workflows that are exposed to external providers through EpicCare Link
Qualification
Required
~6+ years of experience with EpicCare Link
~6+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinical environments, or healthcare IT settings
Experience with workflow build, optimization, and maintenance for both ClinDoc and Inpatient modules
Able to perform advanced build activities in ClinDoc and Inpatient (including SmartForms, SmartLinks, SmartTexts, SmartSets, and Order Sets)
Experience building and maintaining clinical documentation templates and optimizing user workflows based on clinician needs
Skilled at analyzing existing workflows and proposing/implementing improvements using Epic tools and personalization features
Proven familiarity with Epic Hyperspace build environment (including master files, registries, profiles, templates, and user roles
Experience with all aspects of testing lifecycle - unit, system, integrated testing
Experienced in leading a team
Solid analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to identify issues, prioritize and problem solve to resolution
Superior communication and customer service abilities
Team player with the willingness/ability to work in a collaborative environment
Current EpicCare Link Certification
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
Preferred
Current ClinDoc and Inpatient Certifications
