Senior IT Systems Engineer
Keystone Cyber Protection is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead cybersecurity initiatives and build roadmaps for clients. This client-facing leadership role involves conducting risk assessments, defining security standards, and guiding organizations in their cybersecurity strategies.

Responsibilities
Perform cybersecurity risk assessments and identify key gaps across people, process, and technology
Create clear, prioritized security roadmaps aligned to business goals and risk tolerance
Define and help implement security standards, policies, and best practices
Track and monitor progress of security projects. Identify blockers and drive resolution
Track, report, and help remediate security vulnerabilities and risks
Provide guidance and support to meet compliance requirements and prepare for audits
Help clients define an acceptable level of cyber risk and establish governance for ongoing decision-making
Recommend security enhancements to leadership, balancing impact, cost, and operational realities
Evaluate, test, and validate security controls and solutions (including configuration and rollout support)
Support incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and breach response readiness
Coordinate security operations across IT and engineering teams to ensure consistent execution
Contribute to budgeting and planning for security tooling, services, and program investments
Qualification
Required
Proven ability to lead and deliver cybersecurity strategy and programs for complex environments
Strong understanding of risk management, vulnerability management, and security governance
Excellent executive communication. Able to explain security tradeoffs clearly to non-technical leaders
Strong stakeholder management skills. Comfortable driving alignment across IT, engineering, and leadership
Highly organized and execution-oriented. Able to track multiple projects and keep momentum
Strong analytical judgment and decision-making under uncertainty
Professional, client-ready demeanor with high accountability and follow-through
Familiarity with security controls and architecture across networks, endpoints, identity, and cloud environments
Experience supporting compliance efforts (frameworks/requirements vary by client)
Prior experience leading security strategy, assessments, and multi-workstream security programs (internal or consulting/MSSP context)
Preferred
Cloud experience in Azure and/or AWS is a plus
