$35K/yr - $35K/yrThe State of Florida's Department of Health is seeking an Interviewing Clerk to provide clerical support for client processing and assist the clinical team. The role includes greeting clients, updating demographic data, verifying payment sources, and managing client communications.

Responsibilities
Greets and registers new and existing clients
Updates client demographic data each visit using HMS system
Verifies payment source each visit to include; Medicaid with FMMIS system, appropriate economic evaluation or Insurance
Counsels’ client on HIPAA, information release forms for billing purposes and release of medical information, consent for care and contact information
Triage incoming calls and/or clients as necessary
Requests photo ID and retains a copy in the medical record
Run Check-in report by end of business day, track and match superbills to Check-in-report by close of report date, retrieve and locate missing superbills on next business day
Performs duties as outlined in the FCHD Policy and Procedure Titled 'Disaster Operating Procedure', and other related duties as assigned. Access to Social Security Data and Clinical information for services provided

Required
Must be willing to accept this salary if offered the position
Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the positions
Must have customer service experience in public or medical setting
Knowledge of computer software including application
All Florida Department of Health positions require the incumbent to be able to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English
