Required

Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment
Demonstrated track record of high-impact research as evidenced by scholarly publications
Strong potential (assistant rank) or an established record (higher rank) of extramural funding
Teaching effectiveness
Strong aptitude for effective teaching in core and specialized areas of the curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Ability to establish an independent extramurally supported research program
Conduct collaborative research
Engaged in service activities
Ability to teach electrical and computer engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Evidence of accomplishments and experiences that have prepared the applicant for diverse constituents in research, teaching and service

Preferred

Expertise in VLSI circuits and architectures for next generation AI applications, including hardware accelerators
Expertise in Testing, Design-for-Test and Verification of AI hardware
Expertise in the use of AI techniques in synthesis, test and verification of digital and analog systems
Expertise in CMOS & post-CMOS electronics and integrated optical technologies for AI systems
Expertise in devices, circuits and architectures that address the massive data transfer (memory wall) challenges in AI systems of the future
Industrial experience
