Maintenance Engineering Intern

Responsibilities
Support the development of a program that combines the technical requirements for integrity inspection and maintenance for each system, piece of equipment or element, and the activities necessary to comply with those requirements
Participate and support risk identification and management activities (Hazid/Hazop) with the aim of ensuring production process safety and minimizing exposure of people, installations and the environment, before, during and after the conclusion of operations
Ensure the application of engineering, construction and Safety and Environment standards and regulations during the design phase, ensuring the application of lessons learned, best practices and key indicators by means of the knowledge management technologies available
Investigate, review and implement new technologies and standards in order to improve the availability and reliability of process equipment. Identify and consider any relevant changes in technology and standards
Compile and keep the performance, procedures, control and work instructions standards for maintenance and integrity up to date, in order to ensure compliance with maintenance and integrity policies
Provide support in the identification of strategic spare parts / components and determine methods to ensure their immediate availability
Support the preparation of Technical Specifications to establish the process of purchasing materials and services
Compile and transfer lessons learned, best practices and key indicators by means of the knowledge management methodologies available
Collaborate on the preparation and control of the maintenance budget in your area of specialization
Support the management of the Maintenance Engineering team leader in the technical aspects of maintenance and technical integrity
Qualification
Required
Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs
Undergrad (or higher) Mechanical engineering degree in process, or related discipline
Students with an expected graduation 2027-2028 are encouraged to apply (juniors or sophomores). May 2026 graduates may only be considered if enrolled in a post-graduate program
Must have cumulative and major GPA of 3.3 or higher, to be confirmed with transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable)
Must be available for a continuous 12-week period for the duration of the 2026 summer intern program, starting May 18th and ending on August 7th
Strong interest in data analysis, business analytics, problem-solving, and critical thinking
Ability to work with data and derive meaningful insights
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and organized
Able to manage multiple tasks with responsibility and precision
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and analytical methods
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed
Ability to interact in a team environment
Preferred
Preference for candidates with some internship experience, ideally within oil & gas but not required
