Responsibilities
Design various automated equipment & material handling systems
Detail and check drawings, as well as develop machine layouts
Analyze equipment designs and provide creative problem-solving solutions to manufacturing processes
Work with Sales & Estimating departments to assist in developing Concept Designs and Plant Layout drawings for RFQ proposals & Sales presentations
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in designing special custom machinery and automated material handling systems utilizing 3D Solid modeling software - i.e., SOLIDWORKS
Proficient using 3D Modeling Software; SOLIDWORK & AUTOCAD
Skilled in Developing Conceptual ideas and making Engineering Presentations
Knowledgeable in Industrial Manufacturing Processes & Developing 3D Simulations
Knowledgeable in 'Electro-mechanical' components + Calculations (i.e., servo-drives, VFD, LVDT systems, etc.)
Knowledgeable in Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems + Calculations (i.e., cylinders, valves, switches, etc.)
Effective communication skills necessary to interact with both customers and peers
Strong abilities in analyzing equipment designs & providing creative problem-solving solutions to manufacturing processes
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to keep projects on track and within cost budgets
Ability to meet scheduled completion deadlines and customer commitments
Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Software i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Familiarity with aspects of System Controls (i.e., PLCs, HMI Panels, switches, safety systems, etc.)
Preferred
Knowledgeable in Applications using Robotics & Vision systems a (Plus+)
