Responsibilities
Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and client communications
Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, settlement conferences, trials, and arbitrations
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with clients’ objectives
Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw
Manage a busy litigation caseload while meeting internal and statutory deadlines
Collaborate with colleagues while maintaining the ability to work independently
Maintain exceptional standards of professionalism, ethics, and work product
Meet or exceed billable hour expectations
Reviewing and overseeing work product of associate attorneys
Delegating assignments and managing workflow
Mentoring and training attorneys and legal support staff
Qualification
Required
Active member of the California State Bar
6+ years of civil litigation experience
Strong knowledge of the California Rules of Court and local rules
Familiarity with California probate and trust administration processes
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Exceptional attention to detail; strong command of grammar and written style
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Proven ability to manage client relationships from intake through resolution
Ability to mentor others, set goals, and contribute to team development
Self-starter with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn
Preferred
Experience with LexisNexis or Westlaw and legal client management systems
Probate and trust litigation strongly preferred
