Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems
Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval
Be the suppliers’ primary point of technical contact for your projects
Support the Ops Engineering team to ensure that the system you’ve designed is successfully installed, commissioned and launched
Work on a variety of projects including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits, including highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers
Work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment
Qualification
Required
5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent
Experience with design & innovation and research & development
Experience in management of engineering design projects
Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
Preferred
5+ years of specialty (with progressive responsibility) experience
Master's degree in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, electronic system design, and decision making
Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing
Experience with design-in-safety
