$60/hr - $110/hrCollege Essay Guy is looking for experienced college essay specialists to help guide students through the college admissions process. In this role, you will support students in brainstorming topics, refining drafts, and completing key application sections while keeping them motivated and on track.

Responsibilities
Meet with students one-on-one to guide them through the process of turning their rich and varied life experiences into college essays that matter
Help students brainstorm topics, draft outlines (as needed), and polish their essays, in addition to their Common App/UC/UT/Coalition application Activities Lists and Additional Information sections
Be trained in the CEG philosophy and approach, with regular meetings to discuss student progress and troubleshoot concerns
Meet with students virtually throughout their application process
Help keep students inspired, motivated, and on track to meet deadlines
Work with a minimum of 10 students between May 2026 and Jan 2027
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of the college admissions process
Excellent communication skills
Ability to adapt to students' individual needs while keeping them motivated and on track
Experience with the college admissions and college essay writing/application process
Ability to meet with students virtually during the evenings and weekends
Ability to meet 1-2 times per month with fellow essay coaches to review student progress and address issues and questions about student progress
Empathic soul and a great question-asker with a strong ability to both help students feel comfortable sharing and get students engaged in the writing process
Preferred
Familiarity with College Essay Guy material and have used it with your own students
