Responsibilities
Enforce all company policies and procedures
Prepare all paperwork required in a neat, legible and timely manner
Maintain an efficient and productive line of cooperation and communication with other departments and support groups
Organize and update operating procedures on an ongoing basis
Maintain a high level of morale in all areas of production by responding to employee needs, recognizing achievement and providing ongoing training programs
Meet and maintain all related company objectives and efficiency standards for: Pounds, cases per man hour, Yield, Safety, Sanitation, Quality, Product specification, Overtime
Train an assistant to assume all related duties on days off, illness, vacation, or out of plant workdays
Responsible for: Hiring new employees
Disciplinary procedures
Performance reviews and pay increases
Ensure that products are produced efficiently while maintaining the standards of quality set by the company
Responsible for managing labor, productivity, yield, and downtime during peak production hours with minimal margin for error
Uses production systems, ERP platforms, inventory tracking tools, and reporting software to monitor KPIs, yields, labor, and compliance
Work is governed by USDA, FDA, FSMA, HACCP, and customer audit requirements, with regular inspections and audits
Must respond quickly to equipment issues, quality deviations, staffing shortages, and production interruptions
Time is split between office work (planning, reporting, meetings) and hands-on presence on the production floor to oversee operations and staff

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on production floors, including wet or refrigerated environments
Ability to frequently move throughout the facility, including production areas, cold rooms, packaging lines, and warehouses
Ability to work in cold temperatures (approximately 34°F–45°F) and humid or damp conditions for extended periods
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb stairs or platforms as required to inspect operations and equipment
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25–50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to use hands and fingers for handling tools, equipment controls, documentation, and computer systems
Ability to see, read, and interpret production reports, computer screens, labels, and safety signage
Ability to hear and respond to alarms, machinery sounds, radio communications, and verbal instructions in a noisy environment
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hair nets, gloves, smocks, safety footwear, hearing protection, and other food safety gear
Ability to work extended hours, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays during peak production periods
Ability to maintain focus, make decisions, and manage stress in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment
Ability to transition between office work and physical production oversight throughout the shift
Exposure to product fumes such as onions, peppers etc
Exposure to chemicals such as chlorine, etc
Fresh Foods/CPG Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Industry Experience
2+ years Operations Experience
Basic skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Leadership qualities (positively affect/influence others/delegate responsibility)
Excellent verbal, written, and general communication skills
Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, organization, and decision-making
