This role involves monitoring team activities to ensure safe, timely, and accurate completion of patient transport while maintaining departmental standards.

Responsibilities
Provide interim supervision in various work areas when the supervisor is absent
Perform Service Assistant I, II, and dispatcher duties as needed
Communicate and reinforce departmental policies and procedures
Monitor transport assignments for accuracy and guideline compliance
Complete daily reports, update lineups, track call‑outs, and communicate schedule or staffing changes
Assist with scheduling tasks including lineup changes, holiday schedules, and overtime requests
Inspect and coordinate equipment for safety, cleanliness, and preventive maintenance needs
Maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel
Conduct leader rounding and support service recovery efforts
Lead team huddles and participate in staff meetings
Assist caregivers with troubleshooting (Kronos, Vocera, R2L, Workday, Outlook)
Support compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
Lead or participate in performance improvement projects
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong communication, critical thinking, and time‑management skills
Ability to lift and walk with up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand/walk for the entire shift
Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patient information
Preferred
Experience in patient escort, hospital transportation, or related field preferred
Leadership experience preferred
