Responsibilities

Ensure the quality and delivery of products meets customer expectations
Build, repair and maintain SMT circuit card and electronics final assemblies
Perform cycle counts of inventory, assist in shipping and receiving functions, and other tasks as needed
Function as a team lead, providing coaching and mentoring to junior technicians
Support training of technicians and other electronics assembly team members
Interpret or explain data or information to deliver messaging regarding tasks for less experienced technicians
Review process documentation and work instructions, providing input to improve process and product quality and drive efficiencies
Regularly communicate with engineers and design staff to ensure designs are implemented correctly
Use tools safely and correctly to make or repair parts and products, and train junior technicians on these methods
Maintain attention to detail and cleanliness in the workspace
Audit physical parts against Engineering BOM’s for traceability and accuracy
Perform routine preventive maintenance with minimal supervision
Maintain inventory and place orders for supplies as needed
Coordinate with material handling team regarding kit issues or traceability concerns
Utilize strong computer skills and experience with MES systems, and train junior technicians on Microsoft suite and manufacturing MES systems
Work in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment, as well as adhere to cleanroom standards and procedures
Follow strict safety guidelines and work with minimal supervision

Required

A high school diploma or GED
Associates degree in Electronics desired
6 years of experience in electronic assembly operations such as SMT, AOI, Prepping Components, X-Ray, De-Panel, and Soldering
Understanding of fundamental aerospace standards and procedures such AS9100, 5S, general traceability requirements
Experience in interpreting schematics, drawings, diagrams, and other visual aides for assembly
Functions as a team lead, providing coaching and mentoring to more junior technicians
Supports training of Technicians and other electronics assembly team members. This includes processes, work instructions and skill development
Interprets or explains data or information to deliver messaging regarding tasks for less experienced technicians
Reviews process documentation and work instructions, providing input to improve process and product quality and drive efficiencies
Ability to regularly communicate with engineers and design staff to ensure designs are being implemented correctly
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner
Experience using tools safely and correctly to make or repair parts and products. Able to train other junior technicians on the correct methods for using these tools
Excellent hand-eye coordination, able to work on small assemblies under magnification with competency
Ability to differentiate between colors to identify colored electrical wires
Attention to detail and the maintenance of a clean workspace
Ability to read parts lists and make sure all are present, as well as audit physical parts against Engineering BOM's for traceability and accuracy
Significant experience with routine preventive maintenance and procedures, can perform these tasks with minimal supervision
Experience maintaining inventory and placing orders for more supplies as needed, able to coordinate with material handling team regarding kit issues or traceability concerns
Strong computer skills, experience working with MES systems, etc. Able to train other junior technicians on Microsoft suite and manufacturing MES systems
Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment, as well as cleanroom standards and procedures
Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow strict safety guidelines
Ability to work overtime as needed or required
