Responsibilities
Install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic systems
Fusion and mechanical splicing
Fiber testing
Installation of network components
Interpreting technical documentation to ensure quality and accuracy in every project
Collaborate with field teams
Support project timelines
Maintain detailed documentation
Help lead and mentor junior technicians as needed
Travel to job sites
Uphold AES’s commitment to safety and performance
Qualification
Required
Hands‑on experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing
Strong understanding of fiber types, color codes, and industry standards
Ability to work in fast‑paced field environments, including underground and aerial settings
Willingness to travel frequently for project work
Proven problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Commitment to safety and high‑quality workmanship
Preferred
Experience mentoring junior technicians
Familiarity with GIS tools and digital tracking platforms
