Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a 10-person engineering team across AI, Middleware, and UI
Own sprint planning, delivery execution, and technical prioritization
Conduct code reviews and provide architectural and technical guidance
Partner with executive leadership to align engineering goals with business objectives
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance engineering culture
Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development of engineers
Act as the primary liaison between engineering and leadership
Design, write, review, and optimize production code in Java (required) and Python
Contribute directly to Middleware architecture and development
Collaborate with the Chief Architect on system design, scalability, and performance
Establish and uphold engineering best practices and coding standards
Jump in to solve complex technical challenges when needed
Qualification
Required
8+ years of software development experience
3+ years in an engineering leadership role
Strong background in Middleware development
Hands-on expertise with Java (required) and Python
Experience leading teams that include AI and UI components
Proven ability to balance people leadership and technical execution
Strong architectural mindset and experience partnering with senior technical leaders
Comfortable leading remote teams in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Preference for candidates in ET or CT time zones
