Senior Program Coordinator, Aquatics

Tulane University is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for Aquatics to assist with the day-to-day operations of their aquatic facilities. The role involves hiring, training, and supervising swim lesson instructors, as well as developing and promoting aquatic programs to increase revenue and ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with the day to day operations of the aquatic facilities which include an indoor Olympic size pool, outdoor pool, and sun deck
Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate swim lesson instructors
Develop, implement, and promote aquatic programs to include Learn to Swim Lessons, Scuba Diving Courses, and facility rentals with the goal of increasing revenue from these programs
Assist in developing and facilitating the growth of recreational programs for the University community, promoting departmental programs, and assisting with departmental special events
Ensure safe aquatic operations, and accurate dissemination and enforcement of facility policies and procedures
Provide first responder skills as needed according to the Emergency Response Plan
Conduct routine safety and facility inspections
Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of special events and facility reservations

Required

Ability to work as part of a professional team and to collaborate effectively with colleagues

Ability to exercise fiscal integrity and accuracy with cash deposits
Current certifications in CPR and First Aid
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years of relevant job experience

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Sport Administration or a related field
Demonstrated experience in supervision of facilities and facilities staff
Certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid
