2026 Summer Process Engineering Internship

Responsibilities
Assist in capital projects and production/manufacturing support
Assist in updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs) and process flow diagram (PFD) Drawings
Provide project technical support in the development of engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Examples include system specifications, commissioning document, requests for proposals, requests for information, and change controls
Work with contractors/consultants to answer questions and ensure that project work is delivered as expected
This level will be/has been introduced to tasks utilizing skills in Industrial Controls, Process Engineering, Qualification or Capital Project execution
Execution of own tasks/projects: After an induction period, the Intern takes on his or her own tasks/projects and executes them independently (with support of subject matter experts)
Acquiring a foundational understanding of the department: By working in the business function, the Intern acquires a foundational understanding of the organization, processes and procedures in their function and the company. Understanding of the most important aspects and challenges as well as relevant interfaces and stakeholders
General support to enable learning and development within the role and function for future application
Support of and attendance in Intern group specific development and engagement activities (e.g. presentations, projects, events, etc.)
Interns will be paired with experienced Process Engineers for professional and technical mentorship
Qualification
Required
Seeking rising juniors and seniors, currently enrolled as a full-time student, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biomanufacturing or related field
GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of a 4.0 scale)
Passion for engineering, process, equipment and the DMAIC process
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
Demonstrates flexibility and acceptance of assignments and schedules
On-site required with some availability to work remote
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
