Parks and Recreation Aide 4 (Clerical)
New York State Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation is responsible for managing parks and recreational areas. The Parks and Recreation Aide 4 will provide clerical support to the Human Resource/Payroll office, including maintaining payroll records, assisting with financial tracking, and providing general administrative support.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Maintain payroll records and files
Assist in tracking and recording revenue
Help reconcile financial records and identify discrepancies
Review hiring paperwork
Maintain employee attendance records
Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems
Ensure documents are archived and retrievable as needed
Handle incoming calls, emails, mail, and correspondence
Track and distribute forms
Provide general administrative support to Human Resource Specialist and Office Assistant
Interact with patrons to answer questions regarding park rules, fees, and amenities
Qualification
Required
Must be able to meet deadlines
Must have good organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to multi-task
Must have basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Word & Excel
Preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
