Responsibilities
Manage supplier qualifications to ensure consistent compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Own product and manufacturing process qualifications at assigned suppliers and ensure timely closure of actions
Support supplier coverage across the North America (USA) region
Lead new supplier evaluation and onboarding activities, including quality and compliance audits
Conduct supplier surveillance audits to verify effective process controls and quality systems
Support serial production readiness and product release aligned with project and customer requirements
Organize and perform supplier inspections to ensure product quality compliance
Support customer witness inspections, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Customer Observation Points (COP)
Witness testing at independent third-party laboratories
Own Supplier Responsibility Governance (SRG) metrics and conduct audits per regional and business plans
Collect and analyze Critical to Quality (CTQ) data and conduct process capability studies
Drive supplier continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring quality issues
Manage supplier non-conformances (NCRs), service notices, deviation requests, warranty claims, and recoveries
Perform robust Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
Act as the primary technical interface between suppliers, engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams
Ensure adherence to quality procedures, specifications, and industry standards
Provide sourcing quality input during product design and engineering reviews
Support development and expansion of the supplier base
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or related technical discipline)
8–12 years of hands-on industry experience in electrical/electronics engineering, quality, or manufacturing
Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality or supply chain functions
Strong experience with PCBAs, wire harnesses, cables, control cabinets, sensors, transducers, switches, control transformers, and related components
Solid understanding of engineering drawings, wiring schematics, logic circuits, and international technical standards
Strong PCBA quality inspection and troubleshooting background
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (>50%)
Preferred
Advanced degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
Experience in the instrumentation or power generation equipment manufacturing industry
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (or equivalent experience)
Working knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, ISO, ANSI, NEMA
Familiarity with nuclear industry standards (e.g., N299.2, N299.3)
ISO Lead Auditor certification (third-party or equivalent internal certification)
Formal RCA methodology experience (8D, Kepner-Tregoe, Apollo, etc.)
Field experience supporting power plant electrical equipment
Strong ownership mindset, proactive approach, and influencing skills
