Responsibilities

Perform a comprehensive Mixed Waste Audit at a secure nuclear operations facility

Evaluate mixed waste streams from generation through final shipment

Ensure compliance with applicable DOE Orders, RCRA requirements, and site-specific procedures

Conduct interviews, observe operations, and review documentation

Perform off-site analysis and formal audit report development

Required

Active DOE L or Q clearance

Demonstrated experience with mixed waste management in DOE regulated environments

Experience conducting environmental audits, assessments, or compliance reviews

Working knowledge of: RCRA mixed waste regulations

Working knowledge of: DOE Orders related to waste management

Working knowledge of: Waste characterization, tracking, and documentation requirements

Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce professional audit reports

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Preferred

Familiarity with mixed low-level waste (MLLW) and nuclear manufacturing or fuel development operations
