Mechanical Engineer
CoreWise Workforce Strategy Partners is a mission-critical HVAC engineering and manufacturing company specializing in industrial, explosion-proof, and high-reliability HVAC/R systems. The Mechanical Engineer will support the design and development of HVAC systems and mechanical assemblies while collaborating with Engineering and other cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design, layout, and analysis of custom explosion proof HVAC equipment and field-installed projects
Prepare and update engineering drawings, 3D models, and BOMs (SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
Select mechanical components and materials to meet project and customer requirements (fans, compressors, coils, housings, filters, etc.)
Perform mechanical calculations and analysis (airflow, heat transfer, load, pressure drop, etc.)
Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting in shop and field settings
Prepare submittal packages and technical documentation for projects, including design specs and compliance reports
Collaborate with production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and accuracy
Provide as-built redlines and updates to ensure complete project documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME required)
3-5 years' professional experience in mechanical or HVAC-related design
Knowledge of HVAC design principles and/or manufacturing industry practices
Familiarity with mechanical components such as fans, compressors, coils, heaters, and housings
Understanding of thermal loads, fluid flow, and structural design basics
Exposure to CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical layout and design
Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, or hazardous location requirements)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Desire to work in a specialized field with strict safety and compliance requirements
Ability to manage multiple projects and follow through on commitments
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
