They are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Finance to lead the company's accounting, FP&A, treasury, and risk management functions, ensuring effective fiscal management across multiple business lines.

Responsibilities

Lead the company's financial and accounting functions, practices, processes, and procedures, supporting company growth objectives and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
Perform reconciliations and compensation evaluations, using a strong case-management background
Coordinate and prepare accurate and timely financial statements and other financial reports
Manage the consolidation of financial reporting across multiple sites, including various businesses
Analyze financial data and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable insights for decision-making
Provide deep financial analysis and maintain understanding of the companies’ financial statements at all times
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the company's CFO to drive business planning, performance management, and financial control initiatives
Partner with operations to enhance functional capabilities and drive alignment across teams
Provide strong oversight of tax filings and audits
Oversee team hiring, training, mentoring, development, and performance management

Required

At least 15 years of accounting/financial management experience in an organization that has multiple lines of business in diverse geographical areas
Some experience with controller ship required
Experience in construction, manufacturing, distribution, transportation, or a like-kind industry required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple departments, including FP&A, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll tax, income tax, and banking
Proven strength in cost accounting and internal controls required
Strong financial planning and analysis experience that demonstrates strategic financial leadership
Excellent people-management skills
Proven record of hiring and growing successful teams
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines
Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks appropriately and maintain attention to detail
