Responsibilities
Respond to inbound calls and emails related to non-catalog product requests and technical product inquiries
Research and source non-catalog items, prepare accurate quotes, and place purchase orders with vendors
Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of vendor offerings and product availability
Develop effective vendor relationships to ensure timely quotes, orders fulfillment, and issue resolution
Provide product identification and application guidance to support sales representatives and customers
Cross-references competitor part numbers to support SKU conversion and sales growth
Processes return to order adjustments accurately and efficiently
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalations and improve customer experience
Perform other duties assigned; occasional travel may be required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
1 year of customer service, sales support, or related experience
Proficiency with MS Office and common business applications
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail for pricing and order accuracy
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Plumbing or building products industry experience preferred, but not required
