Responsibilities
Review applicant financial documentation and manage the financial approval process
Lead monthly close activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements for executive leadership
Develop annual budgets and support strategic long‑term financial and tax planning
Partner with department leaders to build and monitor expense and capital budgets
Oversee daily accounting functions including billing, collections, general ledger entries, payroll processing, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
Coordinate audit preparation and maintain documentation for internal and external audits
Participate in senior‑level operational and financial decision‑making
Provide financial analysis and planning support to department managers and directors
Prepare and distribute IRS 1099 forms in full compliance with reporting requirements
Manage financial transaction systems and ensure accuracy and efficiency
Maintain GAAP‑compliant financial records and reporting practices
Ensure compliance with all financial laws, regulations, and reporting obligations
Communicate potential financial or operational risks to oversight committees
Monitor cash flow and support short‑ and long‑term cash forecasting
Perform additional responsibilities as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
5+ years of healthcare accounting experience required
MatrixCare experience is required (strong preference for candidates who have used it extensively)
Advanced Excel skills
Preferred
Supervisory and leadership experience preferred
