Health Care Technician II - Shift Supervisor (J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center)

The Health Care Technician II - Shift Supervisor will provide direct supervision to Health Care Technicians while working closely with residents, ensuring competency-based training and support across various settings.

Responsibilities

Provide direct hands on supervision for the HCT I's while working directly with residents
Training provided through modeling, observation, and feedback
Training is competency based and works with residents across all settings
Supervise approximately 10 Health Care Technician I positions directly

Required

High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation
Listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (as applicable)
North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification (as applicable)
Documented experience in providing daily living activities and carrying out goal programs such as personal care in areas such as bathing, dressing, tooth brushing, feeding, changing attends on adults, communication and behavior modification
Two years of closely related work experience
Supervisory experience in a large residential facility and van driver's license
Documented experience with use of computers

Preferred

Documented experience working with individuals with disabilities
Computer skills
CPR certification
Knowledge of person centered planning
