Responsibilities

Understand implications of fuel properties, fuel composition, and refining processes on future fuel and vehicle systems
Develop fuel products for high-performance engines and motorsports applications
Lead research programs (internally and leveraged industry) as a recognized subject matter expert in Fuel and Combustion Science
Influence, direct, and communicate technical research on future fuel and vehicle systems
Create sound science rationale for technical positions related to emerging issues for fuel products
Evaluate feasibility and market impact of emerging fuel and vehicle technologies and communicate to business stakeholders
Critically review changes to regulations and legislation related to fuel products and communicate impacts to business stakeholders

Required

Ph.D. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Fuel Science or related discipline
Experience with fuel formulation, combining knowledge of fuel composition with performance properties
Expertise in fuel and combustion science, including fuel chemistry, combustion kinetics, and emissions behavior
Strong application knowledge of internal combustion engines, powertrain systems, and vehicle after-treatment technologies
Proven track record in developing, testing, and evaluating fuel products for advanced or emerging engine technologies, including high-performance or motorsports applications
Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in fuel, engine, or powertrain development
