Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, and accruals
Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial records
Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and variance analysis
Coordinate with auditors and assist with external audits
Support property managers with financial records and analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred or in progress)
5+ years accounting experience, with at least 2 years in property management/real estate
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency in Excel, accounting systems, and property management software (Yardi, Caliber, AppFolio, MRI preferred)
Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Customer service mindset and collaborative approach
Preferred
CPA preferred or in progress
Property management software (Yardi, Caliber, AppFolio, MRI preferred)
