Responsibilities
Prepare and organize documents for corporate income tax returns (federal, state, and local)
Prepare and file various withholding, and indirect corporate tax returns (federal, state, local)
Research federal and state tax issues; prepare technical memoranda and recommendations
Manage all tax related correspondence; and coordinate with external tax preparers, auditors, and state/federal agencies
Maintain a well-organized system for storing tax records, correspondence, and payment confirmations
Assist in preparing and compiling information for quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
Monitor and reconcile all tax related accounts in the general ledger
Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure proper reporting of tax impacts
Support internal and external tax related audits, providing schedules and responses as needed
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in tax and/or accounting, preferably in banking or financial services
Basic knowledge of tax filing processes and general accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
Excellent organizational and recordkeeping abilities
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines
Professional communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners
Preferred
Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems a plus
