Responsibilities
Design and support digital and related analog hardware for radio and communications systems
Translate high-level product requirements into detailed, implementable hardware designs
Perform schematic capture, layout analysis, and participate in PCB design reviews
Conduct simulation and analysis to validate design integrity and performance (including signal integrity)
Integrate digital hardware with adjacent subsystems and platforms
Execute subsystem- and system-level verification and validation testing
Identify, track, and resolve hardware defects through closure
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product integration and manufacturing introduction
Contribute to on-time delivery of reliable, production-ready hardware
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years, or 8+ years of equivalent hands-on experience
Strong experience designing digital circuit boards from requirements through validation
Experience developing hardware requirements from high-level use cases and product documentation
Hands-on experience with schematic capture, layout analysis, and PCB design reviews
Ability to assess technical risk and make sound design decisions
Experience performing simulation and analysis, including digital signal integrity
Experience integrating digital hardware with other subsystems
Proven ability to execute verification and validation testing at subsystem and system levels
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to track and resolve defects
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred
Experience with hardware automation tools such as Python or LabVIEW
Knowledge of EMI/EMC design and test (MIL-STD-461)
Knowledge of environmental testing methods (MIL-STD-810)
Basic understanding of RF circuits and radio architectures
Experience with Boundary Scan methodologies and tools
