Responsibilities
Form 1040 (with Schedule C, E, and K-1 activity)
Form 1120, 1120-S and/or Form 1065
Resolving diagnostics
Applying consistent firm standards
Review client-provided documentation for completeness and accuracy
Identify missing information and communicate clearly regarding open items
Handle amended returns and basic IRS/state notices as assigned
Maintain organized workpapers and documentation within firm systems
Meet assigned deadlines with limited oversight
Escalate technical or unusual issues appropriately
Collaborate with the team using Microsoft Office/Teams
If strong financial experience, may have additional opportunity completing year round client file reviews
Other tasks as required
Qualification
Required
Must reside in North Carolina
Experienced CPA or Enrolled Agent
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Associate's + 2 years' experience considered)
5+ years business tax preparation experience
Experience with book-to-tax workpapers and write up
Strong working knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Ability to manage multiple clients/projects in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and client service skills
Strong tax experience required with EA or CPA. AFSP considered with heavy experience
