Responsibilities
Concept, design, and lead visual execution for brand, digital, campaign, and experiential work
Define the visual direction of a project in partnership with copywriters, strategists, and producers
Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visual communications
Push creative ideas forward while keeping work grounded in strategic objectives
Present work internally and to clients with confidence and clarity
Provide feedback and guidance to designers and junior creatives
Own your timelines, hit your deadlines, and collaborate to keep the work moving
Ensure every deliverable meets the craft, quality, and originality standards of the agency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, or a related field; or equivalent experience in a creative role
3–5+ years of experience in an agency or in-house creative environment, with a strong portfolio of multidisciplinary work and some experience in branding or brands
Conceptual and strategic thinking across multidisciplinary work
Strong design sensibility in typography, layout, composition, and storytelling
Experience leading visual direction from concept through production
Confidence in articulating design rationale and creative intent
Collaborative mindset with writers, strategists, and producers
Ability to balance big-picture ideas with detailed execution
Deep understanding of how to bring brand systems to life
Mentorship and guidance for junior designers and team members
Clear, confident communication in critiques and presentations
Adaptability, accountability, and curiosity in a fast-moving environment
This role requires the ability to work from our Portland office 3 days per week
Using standard office equipment, computers and related technology
Certain activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse
Bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds
Travel may be needed from time to time
