Unified Communications Manager
Quantum World Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Voice/Collaboration Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining advanced voice and collaboration systems to support the organization's communication needs.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement VoIP solutions using Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and AWS Connect. Lead integration projects involving voice gateways, session border controllers (SBCs), and Amazon Web Services
Manage and optimize voice collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams and related Azure services. Ensure seamless integration and performance across various communication platforms
Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of voice systems, including voice recording solutions, E1/T1 circuits, and analogue telephony technologies
Lead infrastructure migrations from legacy telephony systems to modern IP-based solutions. Develop migration strategies, execute plans, and address any issues that arise during the transition
Provide technical support for VoIP and collaboration systems. Resolve complex issues related to voice quality, system performance, and connectivity
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and best practices. Train internal staff on the use of new systems and technologies
Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard voice communication systems. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
Collaborate with vendors for procurement, support, and resolution of technical issues related to voice and collaboration technologies
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in VoIP technologies and voice collaboration systems
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent
Cisco Voice Certification (CCVP, CCNP Collaboration, etc.)
Proficiency in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
Experience with Microsoft Teams, Azure integration, and related services
Hands-on experience with voice gateways and session border controllers
Familiarity with voice recording solutions, E1/T1 technologies, and analogue systems
Strong understanding of voice and collaboration technologies, infrastructure migrations, and system integration
Experience in managing security protocols and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Preferred
Experience with cloud-based communication solutions and hybrid deployments
Experience with AWS Connect and integrating it with other VoIP and collaboration systems
Additional certifications related to IT security or advanced networking
Experience in a large enterprise environment with complex VoIP and collaboration requirements
