The role involves overseeing financial management, billing operations, and accounting processes while managing the finance team.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting, billing, and financial reporting functions

Manage trust accounting and ensure compliance with Colorado Bar requirements

Direct billing operations, including client invoicing and collections

Supervise and mentor accounting/finance staff

Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals

Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures

Work closely with firm management on strategic financial planning

Required

Strong accounting background with either:

Active CPA license, OR

Substantial accounting experience with proven technical expertise

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive)

Experience with QuickBooks and Adobe applications

Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll programs

Preferred

Law firm finance experience– demonstrated experience managing billing and finance operations in a legal environment

Experience with Tabsbilling/practice management software

Familiarity with insurance billing platforms and procedures

Experience in healthcare-related billing processes

Knowledge of law firm trust accounting regulations
